Our Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions on the LICS Limited website and are set out below.  Please read through these carefully before placing your order and then print a copy for future reference.  Please also read our Notice of Data Protection below regarding our use of personal information provided by you.

We may change these terms from time to time without notice to you.  Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received.  These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all contracts for the sale of Goods by LICS Limited to the Buyer, and shall prevail over any other documentation or communication from the Buyer.

DEFINITIONS

“Buyer” means the user of this website and/or the person who buys Goods from LICS Limited.

“Goods” means the articles that the Buyer agrees to buy from LICS Limited. 

“Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions of sale set out in this document and any special terms and conditions agreed in writing by LICS Limited.

TERMS

ORDERS

All orders for Goods shall be deemed to be an offer by the Buyer to purchase Goods pursuant to these Terms and Conditions and are subject to acceptance by LICS Limited.  LICS Limited may choose not to accept an order for any reason.  While every effort will be made to ensure that all items shown are in stock, LICS Limited offers no guarantee of availability.  Once you have placed an order, an Order Acknowledgement will be emailed to the Buyer with an expected date of despatch for the Order.  Special Offers, and items of limited availability, can be withdrawn without notice.

LICS Limited does file details of the Buyer’s order.  Please read the Data Protection Policy for details.

DELIVERY

A signature by an adult aged 18 years or over will be required upon receipt of goods at delivery address. Delivery will only be made to mainland UK.    Prices do not include postage.  Where given, weights are approximate, and include immediate packaging.  They are given so that an estimate of postage costs can be calculated.  The actual postage charge will take into account the size of the package and materials used.

Acceptance of delivery of the Goods shall be deemed conclusive evidence of the Buyer’s acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.   Delivery of the Goods shall be made by LICS Limited notifying the Buyer that the Goods are available for collection at LICS Limited’s premises or for delivery to such place and on such terms as agreed between LICS Limited and the Buyer at the time the order is placed.  Title and risk in the Goods shall pass to the Buyer upon delivery of the Goods. If the Buyer has provided LICS Limited with a wrong delivery address and the goods are signed for by another party, LICS Limited cannot be held responsible for any loss the Buyer incurs as a result.

PRICE, PAYMENT & DELIVERY

Payment via mail order is taken through Pay Pal.  Goods are subject to availability.  Payment of the total purchase price (including delivery charges) must be made in full before dispatch of the Goods.  If for any reason, within 30 days of receiving your order, LICS Limited are unable to supply the goods or substitute goods, LICS Limited will inform the Buyer of this as soon as possible, and within 60 days of the date of the Buyer’s order, a full refund will be given where the Buyer has already paid for goods.  LICS Limited shall use its reasonable endeavours to meet any date stated for delivery.  In any event time of delivery shall not be of the essence and LICS Limited shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the Buyer or any third party arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date.

The price the Buyer pays is the price displayed on the website at the time LICS Limited receive the Buyer’s order, and/or contained in LICS Limited’s Quotation (as applicable).  If LICS Limited discovers an error in the price of goods the Buyer has ordered, or LICS Limited have Quoted for, LICS Limited will inform the Buyer as soon as possible and give the Buyer the option of reconfirming their order at the correct price or cancelling it.  If LICS Limited are unable to contact the Buyer or, if within 7 days of informing the Buyer, the Buyer does not agree to pay the correct price, LICS Limited will cancel the order.  If the Buyer, or LICS Limited cancel the order, and the Buyer has already paid for the goods, then a full refund will be given within 30 days of the date of the order.

RETURNS

LICS Limited want the Buyer to be totally satisfied with every high quality purchase made from LICS Limited.   The Buyer shall inspect the goods immediately upon receipt and shall notify LICS Limited within 7 days of delivery if the Goods are damaged .  The Buyer to telephone, fax or email LICS Limited before any goods are returned, telling LICS Limited that they are being returned, and why.   Please note that items that are made to the Buyer’s specific requirements, and/or personalised or damaged through the Buyer’s improper use of Goods, are non-returnable.  The Buyer must return the Goods within 7 days from the date of delivery of the goods, unused and/or unworn in its original packaging together with the receipt and order number, postage fully paid, in sound packaging, to LICS Limited.  Where a claim of defect, or damage is made, LICS Limited will, at their discretion, replace or repair the Goods, and return them (please note a 15% handling charge may apply).  Postage charges are non refundable.  Where returned Goods are found to be damaged due to the Buyer’s fault, the Buyer will be liable for the cost of remedying such damage.  Items returned lost in transit – LICS Limited cannot be held responsible for packages lost in transit as the Buyer is responsible for returning the Goods. Where delivery is effected to the Buyer’s own delivery contractor, loss or damage in transit claims must be made directly to their own courier.

The Contract, between LICS Limited and the Buyer, shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute between LICS Limited and the Buyer will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. English is the only language offered for the conclusion of the contract.

All design, text and graphics are the copyright of LICS Limited.  The contents of this website are protected by copyright laws.  All product, company names and logos mentioned in this website are the trade marks, service marks or trading names of their respective owners.  Permission is only granted to electronically copy and print in hard copy portions of this site for the purpose of placing an order with LICS Limited or using this website as a shopping resource.  Any other use of materials on this site (including reproduction for purposes other than those noted above, modification, copying, reproducing, republishing, uploading, posting, transmitting or distributing any material or information) on or downloaded from this website including but not limited to, text, graphics, video, message, code and/or software without prior written consent from LICS Limited, is strictly prohibited.

Sometimes the product specifications may change, in which case LICS Limited will do their best to offer the Buyer a substitute of the same or better quality at the same price. 
Please note, the colour of Goods may vary slightly from that shown on the website due to limitations of browser software and monitors.  The Buyer to contact LICS Limited direct, if the Buyer requires a small colour sample of the leather chosen, before placing an order.
Remember, leather is a natural skin and every piece is unique.  Each and every hide is hallmarked with its own character and qualities; some will have variations in the texture of the grain, scarring and shade variations; these are a testament to the natural origin of the product and should not be regarded as a defect or fault.  Such hallmarking has long been considered one of leather’s principal attractions.
The Buyer must note that dye transfer from non-colourfast clothing could stain lighter coloured leathers.
All sizes and measurements are approximate, but LICS Limited do try to make sure that they are as accurate as possible.  On the rare occasion that there is an error, LICS Limited will advise the Buyer about it as soon as possible.

LICS Limited has tried to ensure that the descriptions in this website are correct, and comply with the Trade Descriptions Act.  However, should any Buyer think that there is any misrepresentation whatsoever, please notify LICS Limited immediately so that the matter can be amended as soon as possible.

LIABILITY

LICS Limited shall not be held liable for alterations to a vehicle’s performance, aesthetic value, or safety, once the Goods purchased by the Buyer are fitted.  LICS Limited strongly recommends that Goods sold are fitted by a qualified professional.  The compatibility of goods is not guaranteed where modifications have been made to vehicles.  Parts connected to parts supplied by LICS Limited may be placed under stress, and Buyers should take advice from experts prior to purchase.  No liability is accepted by LICS Limited where the Buyer attempts to modify or install Goods supplied where it is known or ought reasonably to be known that the Goods supplied is incorrectly supplied, defective or otherwise not in accordance with the Order.
LICS Limited shall not be liable for any direct loss or damage suffered by the Buyer howsoever caused, as a result of any negligence, breach of contract, or otherwise in excess of the price of the Goods.

LICS Limited shall not be liable under any circumstances to the Buyer or any third party for any indirect or consequential loss of profit, consequential or other economic loss suffered by the Buyer, howsoever caused as a result of any negligence, breach of contract, misrepresentation or otherwise.

Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of its obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, lock outs, accidents, war, fire, breakdown of plant or machinery or shortage or unavailability of raw materials, and the party shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of its obligations.

LICS Limited do not guarantee that this website will be compatible with the Buyer’s PC, and LICS Limited accept no liability for any corruption or loss of data held on the Buyer’s PC, or any liability for any other loss or damage of any kind caused to the Buyer’s PC resulting from the use of this website.  The Buyer agrees to indemnify LICS Limited against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of the Buyer’s use of this site.

DATA PROTECTION

LICS Limited “Leather In-Car Seats” is a company incorporated in England & Wales.

When the Buyer uses this site the Buyer will be asked to provide certain information such as contact details.  LICS Limited will store this data and hold it on computers and/or in LICS Limited’s paperwork; to fulfil their contract with the Buyer.  LICS Limited may use information that the Buyer provides or that is obtained by LICS Limited to: inform the Buyer by email, telephone, mail or otherwise about products and services which LICS Limited consider may be of interest to the Buyer; and for the prevention and detection of fraud.

LICS Limited endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect the Buyer’s  personal information.  However, LICS Limited cannot guarantee the security of any data the Buyer discloses on-line.  The Buyer must accept the inherent security risks of providing information and details on-line over the Internet and will not hold LICS Limited responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to LICS Limited’s negligence or wilful default.

New technologies are emerging on the Internet that help Sellers to deliver customised visitor experiences.  In particular, there is a technology called “cookies” which may be used by LICS Limited to provide the Buyer with customised information from the LICS Limited website.  A cookie is an element of data that a website can send to the Buyer’s browser, which may then store it on the Buyer’s system.  Cookies allow the Seller to understand who has seen which pages and advertisements, to determine how frequently particular pages are visited and to determine the most popular areas of a web site.  Most web browsers automatically accept cookies.  The Buyer does not have to accept cookies, and the Buyer should read the information that came with the Buyer’s browser software to see how they can set up their browser to notify the Buyer when a cookie is received; this will give the Buyer the opportunity to decide whether to accept it.

In order that LICS Limited can monitor and improve the site, LICS Limited may gather certain information about the Buyer when they use it, including details of the Buyer’s domain name and IP address, operating system, browser, version and the website that the Buyer visited prior to LICS Limited’s site.

The Buyer has the right to see personal data (as defined in the Data Protection Act) that LICS Limited keep about the Buyer, upon receipt of a written request and a payment of a fee.  If the Buyer is concerned that any of the information held is incorrect, please contact LICS Limited direct.
